Inspired by organic marine forms, the viewer circling around the table can see the illusion of movement as if the table were pulsating, caught by the rhythmic movement of the current. This design is part of a series, conceptually based on the challenge of creating a visually soft volume from rigid sheet metal. Created with welded iron, the lamina elements radiate downward from the master ring at the top of the composition which supports a tempered glass top.
