Fascinated with the concept of “sculptural textures,” a composition of repeating minor forms to establish a pattern with shadowed depth, Sean experimented with various shapes before arriving at this design. The resulting deeply shadowed surface pattern is reminiscent of the carpet sea anemone. The final pieces are cast in resin, electroplated in copper and then receive a hand finished patina. The patina finish is a result of natural oxidation. Each table will be unique, slight variation is to be expected.
