One of a pair of exquisitely rendered vignettes of birds in their natural environment was originally wood block printed. First issues in the 1790's France, several hundred wood blocks were required for each design in order to achieve so many shades of color. Panel is 12' long and when trimmed is 27" wide. The artwork area measures approximately 53"H x 18"W.
