All of the pieces designed by Henry and Avery Royer are hand-wrought in Avery's shop in Colorado. Avery, daughter of highly lauded and award winning commissioned sculptor Henry Royer, has taken the reigns after working side-by-side with her father for over a decade. A skilled craftswoman, her passion and attention to detail can be seen throughout the fabrication process. Aniline dyes are applied to solid ash, walnut, mahogany or maple to give it color, but allow the grain to show through. The three types of metal she uses are mild steel in an antique bronze, blackened or copper finish, silicon bronze in its natural state or patinaed for a darker bronze color and a highly polished brushed stainless steel.
